Sample  the  unreleased  demos  of  "Losin'  Again"

&  "Song For Daddy" at  http://www.myspace.com/rust2dust

The song "Losin' Again" mirrors the lives of brothers Rusty & Dusty. It's from a cassette, so it's a bit noisy (but so are Rusty & Dusty after a six of Lone Star long-necks). The song is about a guy who thinks he can gamble his way into "the good life", here, and in the ever after. But he's a lousy gambler who doesn't know when to quit, even as he stands before the "golden gates".  The brothers were once arrested for alleged car theft, but were eventually released in a case of mistaken identity. Afterwards, Rust's gambling habit got way out of control while trying to win back money lost due to the gigs they had to cancel while incarcerated. Ironically, years earlier thier father shot himself in a game of Russian Roulette. The boys were too young to remember much about him, but dedicated "Song For Daddy" as a tribute to what was, and what might have been.
